This tool cannot tell you whether you have anaemia. It has not been clinically validated, can miss anaemia and can flag people who do not have it. Speak with a healthcare professional about a blood test if you are concerned.

Use a clear, close-up image of the inner lower eyelid.

How to take a suitable photo
  1. Use even, natural light and avoid flash, shadows and filters.
  2. Gently pull down your lower eyelid and look upwards.
  3. Keep the exposed inner eyelid in focus and fill most of the frame with your eye. Avoid reflections or anything covering the eyelid.
  4. Check the highlighted region after analysis. If it misses the inner eyelid or includes other areas, disregard the result and try another photo.

The app cannot reliably check whether a photo is suitable.

Choose an image to get started. The first analysis downloads about 112 MB of models.

How it works

A simple process.
A private experience.

01

Choose your photo

Use a clear, close-up photo of the inner lower eyelid. Lighting and image quality affect the result. The AI cannot check whether you have selected a suitable photo.

Our eyelid-region model was trained using project images and the Eye Conjunctiva Segmentation Dataset by Rahman and colleagues (2023), CC BY 4.0. Images and masks were resized for training.

02

Keep your image private

Your photo is analysed on your own device. It is not uploaded to a server, and we do not save your image or a history of your results.

Know your next step

Whatever the result, this tool cannot confirm or exclude anaemia. If you are concerned, a healthcare professional can assess you and arrange a blood test. Learn about anaemia and testing ↗
